#111!
This week's comic is up a little early (not that you mind).
Between finals, graduation, and other things (hooray DIY laptop repairs!), today has been a very busy day, and a pretty busy week too. And lots of things to continue to be busy about and with in the near future.
But for now... sleep. I'd say I've earned it.
See you next week!
Labels: last resort, oh dear god what have I gotten myself into, updates

Well, that's definitely a cliff hanger.
Good luck with finals!
I'll be honest... that last panel was actually quite confusing with Slick's hands up over his chest like that. It took quite a few seconds to parse, "Wait... no, his outfit didn't change... neither did his gender... that's just his hands with bracelets on them. Oh... he's tugging on his top!"
Might 'scan' better as plain shock with his hands just removed from that last panel entirely, or his arm in the middle-left panel re-done to look like he had his hands on his top before? The sudden transition from two panels of 'relaxed, arms at sides' to 'hands over chest in shock' doesn't 'click' as easilly as 'spread eagle shock' would, if that makes any sense?
It makes perfect sense... if you look at the fact that that double-cross pattern it worn by Slick's teammate.
Oh, it's obvious the double-cross patter in the back is meant to point towards their team, showing what's running through Slick's head that has him in such shock.
I mean that Slick's hands there don't make sense, the transition is too sudden and it jars a bit trying to scan the comic-page.
It's wonderful to include tiny details, but generally Last Resort has been very good about making the main content easy to skim, then go back to hoover up details. This page's last panel almost requires you to look for all the details before it makes sense.
It may be far less of an issue if Slick wasn't a black-furred character, those suffer far worse than most from 'which appendage it that?!?' in my experience.
And I was merely suggesting a possible improvement to the page and trying to explain why I thought it would be an improvement. Wasn't trying to demand a redraw or anything extreme, sorry if it came across that way. :-)
For me it took a couple of re-reads to understand that last panel.
Question: is there a way to get a full body picture of him in that outfit? *giggles*
Hm, well... As far as getting a full-body picture of him, I suppose I could draw one as a background. Y'know, assuming folks want that. ;)
Yes please to the background! =^.^=
